The common starling (sturnus vulgaris) is known for immense murmurations - synchronized flocks that can number over 100,000 birds, creating fluid shapes in the sky. A skilled mimic, it can imitate other birds, and even mechanical sounds. Native to Eurasia, it's now widespread across continents, showcasing both adaptability and remarkable collective behaviour in flight.
