The original Avoca mill was established in 1723, on the banks of the Avoca River in Co. Wickelow. Cherishing time-honoured traditions, the Mill continues the tradition of handweaving, using techniques and skills perfected over generations, with a modern passion and personality.

Woven in the heart of the Avoca Mill, the Century Heavy Donegal Throw is a masterpiece of Irish heritage and full circle storytelling. Inspired by an Avoca throw gifted as a wedding present over 100 years ago, the original was lovingly returned to Avoca by its now owner, hoping to see it reimagined.
