Maku Textiles was founded in 2011 by designer Santanu Das. With a passion for handwoven textiles and indigo dye, Maku produces carefully considered handmade garments that celebrate the historic craft and textile traditions of India.
The Jataka collection is inspired by stories of the former births of The Buddha on his path of gradual transformation to The Enlightened One.
The one size Wali tunic dress is made from handspun, handwoven cotton, in hand dyed deep black indigo with a fine indigo stripe. Free size, full cuffed sleeves, mandarin collared round neck, gathered to the neck, button placket to waist, beautifully embroidered collar and cuff, and side slits.
The perfect easy piece to throw on with tights or leggings and boots, or over pants.
