
Maku Textiles was founded in 2011 by designer Santanu Das. With a passion for handwoven textiles and indigo dye, Maku produces carefully considered handmade garments that celebrate the historic craft and textile traditions of India.
The Jataka collection is inspired by stories of the former births of The Buddha on his path of gradual transformation to The Enlightened One.
The Sigala jacket is made from handspun, handwoven silk with a handloom cotton lining - black and blue check, quilted with fine kantha stitching. Features full sleeves, a shawl collar, slightly A-line with a back vent, round patch pockets in the front and fabric covered buttons. Simply exquisite. A jacket to wear and love for years to come.
