Maku Textiles was founded in 2011 by designer Santanu Das. With a passion for handwoven textiles and indigo dye, Maku produces carefully considered handmade garments that celebrate the historic craft and textile traditions of India.
The Jataka collection is inspired by stories of the former births of The Buddha on his path of gradual transformation to The Enlightened One.
The one size Migalopa dress is made from a handspun, handwoven wool / cotton blend, in deep indigo with uneven lighter blue stripes and silver grey highlights. A very easy fit, featuring boat neck, full sleeves, with box pleats in the front and back to the waist releasing to a calf length full skirt. Perfect for winter layering.
