Maku Textiles was founded in 2011 by designer Santanu Das. With a passion for handwoven textiles and indigo dye, Maku produces carefully considered handmade garments that celebrate the historic craft and textile traditions of India.
An ode to romantic love, the “Perfumes of Spring” collection is an invitation to navigate through the archetypes, goddesses, muses and women of flesh and blood that have symbolized love across times and cultures. Embroidered poems from Neruda and Tagore guide us through the ineffable landscape of love evoking its magic and power.
The Azha free size dress in indigo stripe home-spun cotton features a front t-shirt placket opening with tiny brass buttons and hand worked button holes, Peter Pan collar, short sleeves, full skirt gathered at the waist, and in-seam side pockets. Easy fit, cool and comfortable.
